The established market in Turkey is offering great value properties
With our Summer turning into what can only be described as a "washout" thoughts must turn to that wonderful idea of owning a second home in the sun where you can watch the world go by, enjoy time with family and friends and even have some rental income.
With Turkey now established as a strong and sound contender to Spain Aquavista are offering some extremely good value, well built properties in all areas of the Turkish coast. In some ways it is still in its exciting infancy and the potential to come is unending. Think the chic Costa del Sol twenty years.
Starting on the Aegean coast the most popular resort is Altinkum and with its close neighbour Akbuk they are known for their golden beaches, many ancient ruins and remain two of the best family resorts on the Aegean coast and with the addition of the new "water park" and marina in Altinkum there is something for everyone. Akbuk is soon to see a golf course and tenders are already out for this. The area is benefiting from a great deal of government input and money and is one of the areas for sound investment, very large properties, and potential growth. Marmaris continues popular with the British market. With its neighbour, and perhaps prettier, Icmeler, properties there continue to be sought after. The marina and its surroundings are a delight. From Marmaris we continue down the coast to the newest area being developed, the wide Dalaman basin. Once again the Government are pouring millions into the regeneration of this area and with the proposed golf courses and the stunning beach at Serigerme it is certainly an area to watch. Dalaman gives you a feeling of space, the developments are well thought out and are still offering good prices with a prediction of steady rises once the golf courses and new marina are established. The tunnel through from Dalaman to the marina at Gocek is now open which cuts down the transfer time significantly. Gocek with its waterfront and properties nestling on the hillside is not to be missed. Round a tiny bay and you head down to the hugely popular Calis Beach and Fethiye. Fethiye is an ancient harbour town which is lively, even in winter, the sunsets seen from Calis Beach are legendary and the boat trips around the five islands out in the bay are something not be missed. Here again the developments are small and intimate with spacious garden areas and nothing is built in Calis over two storeys. Further round the coast we come to Kas and Kalkan, perhaps the most "Turkish" of towns. Here the properties rise steeply from the waterfront given them amazing views. Kalkan has beautiful properties but the steep streets are not for the "faint hearted". On from here we come to Antalya with its "all year round" airport and the resorts beyond. This is an area least known to the British market and this is a shame as Side and Belek are absolute gems. Alanya is a lively resort offering good holiday properties, Side has the most beautiful beach and gorgeous "old town" and here the properties are well built on beautiful developments. Belek is a golfing paradise with 10 established courses, certainly as good or if not better than the Costa golf courses in Spain and a beautiful golden beach. The properties here too are beautiful.
Through this journey along the coastline we must not forget the Turkish hospitality which abounds wherever you go. They take enormous pride in looking after your every need and this together with the scenery weather and lovely properties makes it a country not to be ignored. Have a look at all our wonderful properties on our website, give us a call, and our sales team, who have all been to all the areas we have in Turkey will be happy to talk through your wishes.
